In the third quarter of 2023, the top communication apps in Turkey showcased varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for WhatsApp Messenger, Getcontact, Snapchat, Telegram, and Messenger.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a dynamic quarter in terms of downloads, peaking at approximately 467K in the week of July 24. Weekly downloads fluctuated but remained robust, ending the quarter at around 365K. Active users displayed a gradual increase, starting from 50.1M and reaching around 50.6M by the end of September.

Getcontact experienced consistent revenue, peaking at about $38K in the final week of September. Downloads showed a notable peak at 346K in late June, followed by a dip and subsequent recovery to 258K by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a slight dip mid-quarter but rebounded to approximately 934K by the end of September.

Snapchat maintained steady revenue throughout the quarter, with a peak of roughly $12K in early August. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 262K and ending at 178K. Active users hovered around 16.8M, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 16.9M.

Telegram showed a significant revenue peak of $22K in late July. Downloads peaked at 284K in early August, with a steady trend towards the end of the quarter, closing at around 230K. Active users steadily increased from 8.5M to 8.6M over the quarter.

Messenger had a relatively stable revenue, peaking at $192 in mid-August. Downloads remained consistent, starting at 101K and ending at 90K. Active users showed a slight decline from 22.7M to 21.6M over the quarter.
